One Ring
When to this jewelry shop.. Jens Hansen Gold & Silversmith on Saturday. Is located at Selwyn Place, Nelson.
This is where the world most famous ring is made at!! The Lord Of The Rings Movie Ring!It juz a tiny winnie shop but most of their ring looks uniquely gorgeous and classic!Jens Hansen the designer for the One Ring passed away on August 1999 . Today Jehns Hansen contemporary Gold & Silversmith continues under the creation of Jen’s son Halfdan and Thorkild Hansen, second generation gold and silversmith. Jens and his son Thorkild then had to make the Ring scaled for different scenes and sized to suit its various owners. We all know that there is only 'One Ring', but for the film over forty variations were needed. From smaller solid gold versions that perfectly fit Hobbit's fingers, to the one seen in the prologue spinning and turning through the air. With a diameter of a massive eight inches this ring obviously couldn't be made of solid gold, so steel was used, it was cut on a lathe and then plated.
The cheapest the One Ring that you able to get is NZD175 for sterling silver. The most expensive the One Ring should be the 950 Platinum which cost NZD 5,750.00.

Anzac Day
Anzac Day occurs on 25 April. It commemorates all New Zealanders killed in war and also honours returned servicemen and women.
The date itself marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian soldiers – the Anzacs – on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915. The aim was to capture the Dardanelles, the gateway to the Bosphorus and the Black Sea. At the end of the campaign, Gallipoli was still held by its Turkish defenders.
Thousands lost their lives in the Gallipoli campaign: 87,000 Turks, 44,000 men from France and the British Empire, including 8500 Australians. To this day, Australia also marks the events of 25 April. Among the dead were 2721 New Zealanders, almost one in four of those who served on Gallipoli.
It may have led to a military defeat, but for many New Zealanders then and since, the Gallipoli landings meant the beginning of something else – a feeling that New Zealand had a role as a distinct nation, even as it fought on the other side of the world in the name of the British Empire.
Anzac Day was first marked in 1916. The day has gone through many changes since then. The ceremonies that are held at war memorials up and down New Zealand, or in places overseas where New Zealanders gather, remain rich in tradition and ritual befitting a military funeral.
Xiao Ma Que turning 23
Our tiny little Ma Que turned 23 on 17th April. We had a small surprise party for her. Everyone gathered and outside our kitchen and surprise her wit 1 chocolate cake and her fave Pavlova! Pavlova is a kind of cake which you can only found in New Zealand and is super sweet! I cannot tahan the sweetness but Mr J loves it! We bought one once, I only had a little bit of it and Mr J finished it by himself.
I never know Ma Que can dance so well!! Is a ‘WOW’ but a bit funny too..She said she always watched MV and learned the entire move. she performed 4 dances move to us! Really not bad lo..Check out the video clip down under!!
