A little bit history of my company…

Swee Joo Group, via Johan Shipping Sdn Bhd (“Johan Shipping”), was founded 25 years ago by four vastly experienced parties in the shipping industry that joined forces to provide a total and complete approach to shipping. These four parties are The Sim Family, The Jugah Family, Lo Ping Yiu and Geoffrey Teo Yong Luan.
In 1982, burgeoning trade activities and the commencement of the Bintulu Port made these four parties aware of the huge potential in the container shipping market.
In order to best take advantage of the vast opportunities in this market, the four decided to combine their extensive exposure and invaluable hands-on experience of the industry to venture into container shipping via the incorporation of Johan Shipping in 1982.
For its listing on Bursa Malaysia on 17 October 2006, the name Swee Joo was chosen to embody the new corporate entity.
Today, Swee Joo Group owns and operates a fleet of 32 vessels, comprising 14 container vessels, 1 product tanker, 10 general cargo vessels and seven support vessels. These vessels ply routes in Peninsular Malaysia, East Malaysia and in addition to Thailand, Ho Chi Minh City and China. Swee Joo is also a box operator with regional routes that cover Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia as well as Singapore

It’s been a long time since I went for a family gathering. It is my uncle 60th Birthday this year. Since it was a public holiday (31st August) the next day, they decided to have a small surprise for him and we had a small family gathering!! It was fun with all the yummy yummy food, playing with my little niece and chat with my cousin Eugene & William. They seem so big to me now. I remember I used to carried them in my arms, play with them with their toys, kacau them but now they are even taller than me!! That’s reminding me how old I am now!! As usual my dad, my grandma and my uncles will start their mahjong game lo..

Around 9.30pm, my sis’s bf drives me to my hubby house. She and her bf heading to some Merdeka party over @ her friend’s penthouse!! Happy Happy lo… My hubby and I thought about joining her (since we dun have any plan) but then my sis sms me, told me is not the type of music my hubby will enjoy. So we decided not to go and guess what I fall asleep at 11p.m!! I celebrated my Merdeka countdown in my sweet dreams.. hahahhahaaa..
