End of 2 weeks

The weather around Bay of Plenty is so unpredicted! Is been rain and sun, on and off the whole fortnight. Roads were flooded around the city including Mount Maunganui. No choice I have to cancel my trip to Hamilton and stay home almost everyday! 2 no working weeks are gonna end in 1 day. I’ll be start working again tomorrow. Happy coz I will be paid again! Sad coz need to wake up early at 6.45am again!

In 2 weeks time I managed to finish 2 books. `If I’m Dead or Missing’ and `Vegan Virgin Valentine’. Spend sometime playing ‘Uno’ with my housemate and try to finish up the word search puzzle book. 2 of my housemate leaved yesterday. Eva is going back to Taiwan and Xiao Feng gonna start travel down to the South Island. So are only Happy, Johann and I living in this 4 room’s house. Johann and me won’t be leaving tat soon, probably will be staying here another 2 or 3 months. Is nice tat lesser people staying together, we dun have to wait for bathroom and to cook. I can do it anytime I want now! Hehehee…

The Hobbiton Movie Set and Farm Tour

The Hobbiton Movie Set & Farm Tour was fun! It takes about 1 hour drive up to Matamata from Tauranga.
Our tour starts with drive through a picturesque 1,250 acre working sheep farm (there are 12,000 sheep and 300 beef cattle) with spectacular views!
The tour guide start telling us how the hobbiton movie set was developed. In 1998, Peter Jackson discovered this farm during an aerial search for suitable film sites. The fantastic views and rolling countryside is perfect! The large pine tree, later become known as the ‘party tree’ was already perfectly places in front of the lake. The surrounding farmland was untouched by 20th century clutter such as roads, buildings and power lines.
There are 37 hobbit holes were created with untreated timber, ply and timber. Even the mill and arch bridge were built out of scaffolding, ply and polystyrene, glued and painted! The Hobbiton movie set has been returned to it natural state, however hobbit holes and some structures from the film set are still present.
Then we get to see sheep shearing demonstration! The shearing was done very fast! With no fur, the sheep start shivering. The fur will only grow back in 6 months time. Poor sheepy… The best part is that we allow to bottle feed the pet lambs! Is so adorable!! I so wanna bring one of it home!!

Finally....

Don’t blame me for not updating my blog. I have no internet access at the place I stay rite now. Is kinda ulu but is relaxing! Something I can never find in JB!! I only able to online when I in the town and I been really busy the whole month .So very sorry lo..Wanna earn more money mah!! Finally, the kiwi season finished today!! So let me do the updating now!

1.We spend 5 days ( 4th-8th May) in Christchurch! Visited few nice places and had some shopping too! Bought myself a pair of Onizuka Tiger!! Is only NZD120!! Heheheheeee.. Good Bargain le!

2.Reached Tauranga on 8th May night. We straight away start working on the next day from 8am to 8pm!! We almost work everyday!! Even on Sunday! We started working in the small factory for 1 month then we transferred to the big factory which divided to gold and green shed. Packing and grading kiwi is much easier than apple or pear. Although been working most of the day but is not as tired as doing apple or pear.

3.We bought a car!! A second hand car!! Toyota Camry 1991 which cost us NZD1300. Not a fancy car but good enough to bring us around.

4We live in a house this time. Much better than staying in holiday park. There are all kiwi trees all surround the house! Friendly housemate and is cozy!

5Is our 1 year anniversary on the 9th of June! My hubby bought me a Hurley’s jacket which I drooling for so long! And I get him a Von Zipper’s Spec which he eying for a long time too! We had our 1st candle light dinner in NZ at Horny Bull CafĂ© & Bar. Delicious food and awesome atmosphere!

6.We gonna have a 2 weeks break starting from today. Hopefully our supervisor, Sonia will call us up and get us start doing repacking or store bin as soon as possible. I dowan to stay home and get rotten! I wanna work! I want Money Money Money!

7.We mostly will travel to Mata-mata on Saturday with our housemate. A one day trip. We gonna visit one of the scene of The Lord of The Ring.

8.Can’t believe that we already in New Zealand for 4 months! Our permit gonna expired in August but we are planning to extend it. If get approved then we might get to stay here 3 more months. I miss Malaysia so much but I know I’ll start missing NZ too if I leave in August! I wanna stay a little bit longer so we could get to earn more, travel more and spend more! Hahahahaaa…

That’s it for the mean time. Hopefully I will get to online again soon! Then I can start blog again!
